Indiana Conservation Voters say they have delivered petitions signed by nearly nine-thousand Hoosiers opposed to mid-decade redistricting being urged by President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
Indiana has just two Democrats elected to the U.S. House, and federal officials say redrawing the districts would help Republicans win the seats currently held by Frank Mrvan and Andre Carson.
Governor Mike Braun has not called a special legislative session to address the issue.
Vance met with Braun and other Republicans in early August.
