Oakland City Man Arrested for Strangulation

An Oakland City man was arrested for Strangulation, Battery and Resisting Law Enforcement Tuesday following a disturbance in the 12-thousand 500-block of County Road East 100 South in Gibson County.

Gibson County Sheriff’s deputies and Oakland City Police were called to the address late Tuesday afternoon.

Following their investigation, 66-year-old Samuel Maikranz was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
