Hoosier the Bison Returns to IU

Indiana University’s mascot, Hoosier the Bison, has returned after almost 60 years.

When IU played Old Dominion on Saturday, Hoosier parachuted into Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.

In 1965, a student group chose “Hoosier the Bison” as their mascot, drawing inspiration from the bison on the Indiana state seal.

However, the mascot was retired just four years later.

Hoosier posted on social media, saying that he’s back and asking if people missed him.
