A Hanover, Indiana woman was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of her six-year-old daughter in a two-vehicle crash in Scott County in May of this year.
Indiana State Police say 25-year-old Dorothy Snell ran a red light at the intersection of State Road 256 and U.S. 31 and collided with another vehicle.
Snell was intoxicated at the time.
Her daughter, who was not in a booster seat. was taken to a hospital where she later died.
Three others survived the crash.
Snell is facing eight criminal charges, including Driving While Under the Influence and Neglect of a Dependent, Causing Death.
She is being held in the Scott County Jail.
