Indiana Conservation Officers are asking the public for assistance in finding a Spencer man who is wanted on preliminary charges of Theft and Illegal Harvest of Ginseng.
Conservation officers were investigating a complaint that 48-year-old Larry Tussey, Jr. of Spencer was in possession of live, wild raccoons.
A warrant was obtained and Tussey’s residence was searched on July 1st.
A vehicle was found on the property that had recently been stolen.
Ginseng roots were found in the vehicle.
In addition, three live racoons were seized.
The raccoons were taken to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator.
