Governor Mike Braun has appointed three new members to Indiana University’s Board of Trustees.
Dr. David Hormuth, attorney Marilee Springer, and student Isaac White will replace members whose terms expired, and they will be sworn in during a September meeting.
The move follows three elected board members being removed from the board and replaced by Braun in June.
The governor was able to do this because of a condition in the state budget approved by lawmakers this year, but his power to control the board is currently being challenged by the ACLU.
