Sullivan County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two Illinois kidnap suspects Tuesday after Aurora, Illinois Police alerted law enforcement they might be in the area.
Their car was stopped at US 41 and State Road 48 with the help of an automated license plate reader.
The eight-year-old kidnap victim was found in the vehicle and later reunited with his family.
The two suspects, who are brothers, were identified as 30-year-old Joshua Bearden and 35-year-old Christopher Bearden.
They are being held in the Sullivan County Jail on a charge of Kidnapping.
They also face charges out of Illinois for Home Invasion, Aggravated Assault, and Kidnapping.
