Daviess County’s unemployment rate in May stood at 2.7% four-tenths of a percent lower than May of 2024.
Dubois and Gibson Counties had rates of 2.8%.
That’s four tenths of a percent lower than May of last year for DuBois County, three tenths of a percent lower for Gibson County.
Martin County’s jobless rate last month was 2.9%, two tenths of a percent lower than May of last year.
Sullivan County’s rate of 3.2% was 1.1% lower than May of 2024.
Knox County’s rate of 3.3% was a half percent lower.
Pike County’s May unemployment rate stood at 3.4%, also a half percent lower.
Greene County’s jobless rate was 3.4%, 1.2% lower than the year before.
The average unemployment rate of Indiana’s 92 counties in May was 3.9%.
