The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says a Washington man was critically injured Saturday in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 50 and Troy Road.
The sheriff’s Office says 60-year-old David Love of Francisco was northbound on Troy Road.
He crossed the eastbound lanes but failed to yield the right of way to westbound traffic and pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
A passenger in Love’s vehicle, 65-year-old Thomas Wirts of Washington, was ejected.
Wirts was taken to an Evansville hospital in critical condition.
Love was treated for minor injuries at Daviess Community Hospital.
He had a blood/alcohol level of .19 and was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated causing serious bodily injury upon his release.
The driver of the other vehicle, 39-year-old Ronelle Linneweber of Vincennes, was taken to Daviess Community Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
