Daviess Co, Man Run Over and Killed by Ag Spreader While Working in His Yard

A Daviess County man died Friday evening when an agricultural spreader truck ran off the road and ran over him while he was working in his yard.

Dead is 77-year-old Daniel Ritterskamp.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says the driver of the spreader, 68-year-old Dennis Toy, working for Helena Agri Enterprise, LLC, was traveling northbound on SR 57 when for unknown reasons the spreader went off the roadway and struck three trees before coming to a rest.

Ritterskamp was run over and entrapped underneath the front end of the spreader.
