Knox Co. Large Item Free Trash Day Called a “Tremendous Success”

The Knox County Health Department says this year’s Large Item Free Trash Day held Saturday, July 20th was a tremendous success.

The department says the event, designed to provide no-cost disposal for bulky items and trash, far exceeded expectations in both participation and impact.

The 2nd annual Knox County Large Item Free Trash Day saw a substantial increase in participation compared to last fall’s event which collected over 25 tons of trash.

More than 55 tons of trash were collected at this year’s event.
