The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning a second “road diet” project in Vincennes, this one involving a portion of State Road 441 or Willow Street.
The four-lane section from just west of U-S 41 to 13th Street will be reduced from four lanes to two, with a center turn lane.
It will be like a project on Hart Street undertaken earlier this year by the City of Vincennes.
Along with the “road diet,” INDOT crews will pave the entire length of State Road 441 from U-S 41 to the Memorial Bridge.
The contract is set for letting in February of next year, with work to begin in the 2025 construction season.
