Daviess County had Indiana’s second lowest unemployment rate in March at 2.5%, six tenths of a percent lower than March of 2024.
Dubois and Martin Counties’ March jobless rates stood at 2.6%.
For Dubois County, that was five tenths of a percent lower than the year before; eight tenths of a percent lower for Martin County.
Gibson County’s March unemployment rate was 2.7%, three tenths of a percent lower than the previous year.
Knox and Sullivan Counties had jobless rates of 3.3% last month.
For Knox County, that’s five tenths of a percent lower than March of 2024; for Sullivan County, it was 1.7% lower.
Pike and Greene Counties had unemployment rates of 3.7% in March.
That’s a tenth of a percent higher for Pike County and 1.3% lower than the year before for Greene County.
The average unemployment rate for all of Indiana’s 92 counties in March was 3.4%.
