Indiana State Senator Eric Bassler of Washington says legislators will soon begin meeting for interim study committee hearings in preparation for the upcoming legislative session and to stay up to date on important issues affecting Hoosiers.
Bassler explains that interim study committees give legislators the ability to research important topics ahead of the 2025 session like potential methods to reduce or eliminate the homestead property tax, artificial intelligence and student absenteeism.
This year, Bassler will serve as a member the Audit and Financial Reporting Subcommittee of the Legislative Council and the Interim Study Committee on Pension Management Oversight.
