Prince Harry “will likely hear” from King Charles III on his birthday, but “don’t expect some grand royal reunion,” according to a royal expert.
Kinsey Schofield, host of YouTube’s “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered,” told Fox News Digital that the prince would probably have a celebration “similar to what we recently saw from Meghan Markle. Singing and dancing in the kitchen. Party hats for the pups.”
“I imagine Harry will keep it relatively private with Meghan and the children,” she added. “Being back in Britain makes this birthday significant, but I don’t expect some grand royal reunion. There is still far too much unresolved behind the scenes.”
Harry is celebrating his first birthday — he turns 42 on Sept. 15 — since the couple returned to his home country from California after six years late last month.
“Harry will likely hear from his father on his birthday,” Schofield said. “He will most definitely chat with his uncle, Earl Spencer, and aunts, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes.”
She added that birthdays “have a way of reminding you who is in your life and who isn’t. Harry may be physically closer to his family, but emotionally, there is still enormous distance there. Moving back to Britain doesn’t automatically repair years of broken trust.”
Schofield noted that the Spencer side of the family — Princess Diana’s — “seems to be embracing him.”
British royal expert Hilary Fordwich agreed that it’s “highly unlikely there will be any sort of public reconciliation” for Harry on his birthday. “Perhaps there will be merely a private call from” the king.

Grant Harrold, King Charles’ former royal butler, speaking on behalf of OLBG, told Fox News Digital that he didn’t “think celebrations will massively change just because he’s back home.”

“I imagine Meghan will plan a nice meal to mark the day, with lots of thoughtful personal touches. Last week I would have said it would be likely that he would see his father, the king — but after this week’s drama I believe that’s out of the question now,” he said, referring to the letter the king sent out, clarifying that the Sussexes remain private citizens. “It’s a shame, as this would have been a great opportunity for a happy meet up.”
“I do expect the king will exchange cards and gifts with Harry, despite what is going on,” he added. “The king is a kind man, and when it comes to birthdays and celebrations he is quite strict on marking the occasion.”

Harrold said he believes “all the news surrounding” Harry will “overshadow” his special day.
Royal broadcaster Ian Pelham Turner agreed that Harry’s birthday “could have been one positive step” toward reconciling with his family, “but as always egos have got in the way.”

“Let’s hope it’s not just another day of royal drama,” Helena Chard, British broadcaster and photographer, echoed.

“I imagine Harry will enjoy a low-key private birthday affair. It will be family first,” she said. “Maybe the school run in the morning to the co-ed prep school with Archie and Lilibet, then family time with Meghan, the children, and you never know, Doria [Ragland, Markle’s mother] may rear her head. Maybe a small gathering of old friends?”
Any public recognition, she noted, would likely come from Markle’s social media. “As per the norm, it will not be via Buckingham Palace.”

Chard said “it’s rumoured his birthday return is set to be a private British countryside affair.”
The couple reportedly plan to settle their family in the picturesque Cotswolds region in the English countryside, a couple of hours outside of London.
“Harry and King Charles’ personal relationship is said to be thawing. I’m sure his father will give a private call to his ‘dear boy,’” she continued, adding, “At 42, Harry should choose peace. Hopefully the ebullient Prince Harry will be back in the not so distant future.”
