Dubois County had the lowest unemployment rate in Indiana in January at 2.3%, 1.3% lower than January of last year.
Gibson County’s jobless rate was 2.5%, 1.2% lower than the year before.
Daviess County’s January unemployment rate of 2.7% was eight tenths of a percent lower than January of 2025.
Martin County’s rate of 2.8% was nine tenths of a percent lower than the same time last year.
Knox County’s 3% jobless rate was 1.1% lower.
Sullivan and Pike Counties had unemployment rates of 3.1%.
That’s 1.4% lower for Sullivan County and 1.6% lower for Pike County.
And Greene County’s January jobless rate was 3.5%, 1.9% lower than January of 2025.
The average unemployment rate of Indiana’s 92 counties in January was 3.3%.
