A new law in Indiana banning non-U.S. citizens from having commercial driver’s licenses has resulted in nearly 18-hundred losing them.
The bill that established the ban was authored by state Representative Jim Pressel of Rolling Prairie. Pressel says, “too many of these illegal drivers have killed innocent people and made our roads less safe.”
A driver from Kyrgyzstan who was issued a CDL in Pennsylvania is accused of killing four people in a crash on State Road 67 in Indiana back in February.
