Two tax preparers, Angel De La Rosa of Jasper and Yaimy Real of Louisville, have been sentenced to federal prison for a multi-year tax fraud scheme that generated millions in false refunds.
Both pleaded guilty to conspiracy, aiding in fraudulent tax returns, and filing false returns.
De La Rosa received four years in prison, and Real three.
They will also serve two years of supervised release, and each will pay over $15 million in restitution.
They operated a tax preparation business with offices in Jasper and Louisville.
