Indiana House Republicans passed two key laws this year prioritizing student mental health and academic focus.
House Enrolled Act 1408 gives parents more control over minors’ social media accounts with required parental consent, monitoring tools, and feature restrictions for users under 16.
Senate Enrolled Act 78 bans cell phone use in schools during school hours to minimize distractions and improve learning.
Both laws received strong support from educators and are now signed by the Governor.
