The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants Friday afternoon following a report of a homicidal woman with a gun holding three hostages at a residence in Ferdinand.
Authorities say that when deputies arrived 45-year-old Jaime Gonzalez came out of the house holding what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail and poured the contents over her head and went back into the house.
A drone was deployed inside the house showing the woman standing alone and yelling at herself.
Police used gas in an unsuccessful attempt to get Gonzalez to leave the house.
A State Police SWAT team used a taser to take her into custody.
Gonzalez was arrested on two outstanding warrants and new charges of Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury and Possession of a Legend Drug.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be filed pending the outcome.
