The Knox County Commissioners will hold a special meeting Sunday, March 1st at 3:00 p.m. to gather community feedback on the county’s current solar ordinance.
The session will be held at the Blue Jean Center—Gymnasium, 12-42 Main Street in Monroe City.
County officials say the current Solar Ordinance is more than 5 years old and as more projects aspire to develop in Knox County, they seek to ensure the safety and the best interest of the county.
This review started last fall when the Commissioners requested the Area Planning Commission to review and make suggestions.
APC held a Public Meeting for community comments then sent suggestions to the Knox County Commissioners.
