A funeral service will be held today (Thursday) for former Dubois County Sheriff Jerry Breeding.
Breeding was 86.
Burial will be at a later date.
The sheriff’s office says his service spanned decades, from his time in the 101st Airborne Division of the Indiana National Guard, and as Dubois Town Marshal, to a distinguished 31-year career with the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
In a statement, the sheriff’s office says Breeding’s leadership as Sheriff from 1998 to 2006 left a lasting impact on the department and the community.
