The early voting window could change if lawmakers approve a measure being considered at the Indiana Statehouse.
House Bill 1359 originally aimed to regulate when local election officials can scan early voting ballots.
Now, the Indiana Senate Elections Committee is advancing an amendment that reduces the number of days for early voting from 28 days to 16 days.
The amendment is now heading to the Senate for consideration- and if passed, would impact early voting for the upcoming May primary.
