State Police arrested two Evansville residents Tuesday morning following an 89-mile pursuit on Interstate 69 from Bloomington to Gibson County.
A state trooper attempted to stop a pick-up truck for speeding; however, the driver fled at speeds of up to 100 mph.
Stops sticks and Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy using the PIT maneuver caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and come to a rest in the median.
A small amount of methamphetamine was found in the truck.
The driver, 27-year-old Geonovan Bailey, and his passenger, 25-year-ld Tiona Monie Sullivan, both form Evansville, were arrested for Resisting Law Enforcement, Possession of Meth, and Obstruction of Justice.
Both are being held in the Monroe County Jail.
