The Indiana General Assembly is facing a deadline of Thursday, February 19th to get a bill approved by a House committee for a new Chicago Bears stadium.
The stadium would be located in northwest Indiana and the bill would create the Northwest Indiana Stadium Authority to enable state involvement in the project.
Governor Mike Braun’s administration is taking the lead in the talks with the Bears on making the move.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker says his administration is making progress to keep the Bears in the state with a new stadium in Arlington Heights.
