A Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy was attacked by a dog Wednesday morning while serving a civil process paper at a residence in the 1200 block of North 100 West near Princeton.
Upon approaching the residence multiple dogs approached the deputy and one bit the deputy on the lower leg.
The Deputy was ultimately transported to a local hospital for treatment of puncture wounds to their leg.
Gibson County Animal Service investigated the incident and placed the animal into quarantine.
