The speed limit is going up on a portion of State Road 56 in Pike County.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says it plans to increase the speed limit on Tuesday, November 4th, from 45 to 50 miles an hour between the Pike County line and just west of Petersburg.
IN-DOT says the five-mile an hour speed limit hike follows a traffic study that found a decrease in traffic along this stretch of S.R. 56.
