Indiana State Trooper Teresa Vaal has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
In her new role, Sergeant Vaal will serve as a Jasper District Squad Leader.
Sergeant Vaal has been a member of the Indiana State Police for seven years.
Sergeant Vaal is a native of Dubois County where she graduated from Southridge High School.
After high school, Sergeant Vaal attended and graduated from University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Before becoming an Indiana State Trooper, Sergeant Vaal worked for the Pike County Sheriff’s Office as a Dispatcher.
