CenterPoint Energy customers in southwestern Indiana will soon see a new credit on their utility bills.
The move comes after many households saw unexpectedly high bills this summer, some hundreds or even thousands of dollars above normal.
CenterPoint’s Indiana president, Mike Roeder, says the credits are part of two “affordability actions” aimed at easing costs and improving transparency.
He acknowledged the company could have done a better job explaining why summer bills were higher.
