Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes says CommonSpirit Health at Home will acquire and assume operations of Good Samaritan Hospice, ensuring continued access to end-of-life care for patients and families across Indiana and Illinois.
Good Samaritan recently announced the closure of its hospice program at the end of the year.
Current Good Samaritan Hospice caregivers will remain with the hospice under the new owners.
CommonSpirit Health at Home will continue to license the Good Samaritan name for hospice services.
The transition is expected to take effect February 1st, 2026.
Until that time, Good Samaritan Hospice will continue operations through the hospital to ensure there is no disruption in care for current patients.
