Daviess Community Hospital received a $5,000 grant this year from the Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust, allowing the hospital to provide free screening and diagnostic breast services to qualifying patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
Women may qualify if they:
o Are age 40 or older, or under 40 and considered high-risk.
o Live in Daviess, Martin, or Pike Counties.
o Or are uninsured or underinsured and meet program income guidelines.
Covered services include screening mammograms and follow-up diagnostic breast imaging when needed.
