Indiana lawmakers are remaining tight-lipped about the results of Friday’s meeting with Vice President JD Vance on redistricting.
Senate President Pro-Tempore Rodric Bray called it a “productive” and “fruitful” meeting but added the Republicans have not made a decision yet on drawing new boundaries for the state’s U.S. House seats.
Bray says pros and cons were discussed and added they will “hopefully have a decision very soon.”
Governor Mike Braun has said it is up to Republican leadership in the Senate and House whether or not he calls a special session to redistrict before the 2026 election.
