Fisherman Find Human Remains in Ohio River in Perry Co.

Authorities are investigating after fishermen found human remains along the Ohio River near Cannelton.

The Perry County Coroner’s Office identified a skull and jaw with several teeth, a possible thigh bone, and a few smaller bones.

Officials are keeping the remains at the Coroner’s Office while experts extract DNA.

Indiana State Police and the local sheriff’s office are assisting with the investigation.
