Divers Search for Woman Missing Since 1974

A team of divers is focusing on the Evansville area in search of a woman who disappeared nearly 50 years ago.

The group, known as “Chaos Divers,” is looking for Debra Ann Wilhite, who went missing on October 16th, 1974, at the age of 19 after leaving her shift at the Windmill Restaurant near Highways 41 and 57.

Indiana State Police say Wilhite was last seen driving her green 1966 Ford Galaxy two-door hardtop.

Her vehicle has never been found.
