Driver Arrested for OVWI Following Martin Co. Crash

Indiana State Police arrested a Crawfordsville, Indiana man for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Friday night following a single vehicle crash on US 231 near Loogootee in Martin County.

62-year-old Steven Ford was taken to Deaconess Memorial Medical Center in Jasper by ambulance.

While speaking to Ford at the hospital, police say he showed visible signs of impairment.

After medical clearance and a chemical test, Ford was arrested and transported to the Martin County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
