Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum and Knox County Economic Development CEO Chris Pfaff fly to Japan Thursday morning to join a Japan Trade Mission to continue building relationships with Japanese business leaders and explore new opportunities for growth and partnership.
Japanese companies in Knox County directly work with other Japanese automotive manufacturers in Indiana, including Toyota in Princeton.
Yochum and Pfaff will join the Mayors of Columbus, Greensburg, Seymour and Wabash and other Indiana economic development and trade professionals to travel to Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya for meetings that include the Midwest US – Japan Conference and the World Expo in Japan, which focuses on economic growth and innovation.
They will also participate in private meetings with senior executives of Japanese companies investing in Knox County.
The full group will take part in a Friends of Indiana private reception in Tokyo on September 9th with Japanese business and national leadership.
