Daviess Community Hospital has released its 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment report and announced that work has begun to form and adopt an implementation strategy focused on the most pressing health needs identified in the assessment.
Based on 247 total survey responses, use of illegal drugs, suicide, after hours/weekend transportation, homelessness, and the cost of healthy foods were identified as the top community negative impacts.
Top needs were higher paying jobs, affordable/quality housing, mental health services for youth, education to prevent illegal drug use, and additional funding for programs and services.
Priority areas for action included mental health, affordability, such as wages, housing and food, and substance use.
The full CHNA report is available on the hospital’s website at dchosp.org.
