Indiana State University is celebrating its largest freshman class since 2020 and record retention rates, just ten months after Dr. Mike Godard became its 13th president.
Officials say 1,602 freshmen arrived this August, a 13% increase over last year.
The Honors College also welcomed 415 new students, up 12% from 2023.
The university reports its highest-ever freshman-to-sophomore retention rate at 69.4%, including gains among 21st Century Scholars, first-generation, and Pell-eligible students.
