The Indiana Department of Agriculture has presented 95 farming families with a Hoosier Homestead Award in recognition of their commitment to Indiana agriculture.
In Daviess County, the Fuhrman family received a Centennial Award for 100 years of ownership.
Other Centennial Awards were given to the Hochgesang, Neukam, and Verkamp farms in Dubois County.
The Verkamp Farm also received a Sesquicentennial award.
The Meyer Farm in Pike County received a Centennial Award.
In Gibson County, the Michael B. McConnell Farm received a Bicentennial Award; the Ballard-Reinbrecht Farms received Centennial and Sesquicentennial awards and the Unfried Farm received a Centennial Award.
