Following a meeting with Vice President J.D. Vance, Governor Mike Braun is reportedly considering a special legislative session to redraw Indiana’s congressional district lines.
The potential redistricting could make more districts competitive in a state where Republicans currently hold seven of the nine U.S. House seats.
The proposal has drawn criticism from Democrats, who call it a power grab, while former Governor Mitch Daniels has argued against the move in an op-ed.
