An Evansville man is facing numerous charges following a police chase that began in Evansville and ended in Gibson County when he struck a pick-up truck at the intersection of White Church Road and State Road 64.
Evansville Police initially attempted to pull over 30-year-old Austin Butcher for a traffic violation.
After he sped away, it was learned Butcher had an active Felony Theft warrant through Warrick County and an active and open case through Evansville for making threats to a person.
Two people in the pick-up truck were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Butcher was checked out at Deaconess-Gibson Medical Center and then taken to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Reckless Driving, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, and Criminal Recklessness with a Vehicle Involving Serious Bodily Injury.
In addition to criminal charges, Butcher was issued numerous citations.
