Iowa Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Gibson Co.

A Gibson County Sheriff’s deputy arrested an Iowa man Friday while investigating a pick-up truck parked near the Oakland City Old Lake.

While speaking with the driver, the deputy saw a firearm laying on the seat and smelled burnt marijuana.

Methamphetamines were seized during the investigation.

51-year-old Christopher Darnell of Hancock, Iowa was taken to the Gibson County Detention Center where he was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.
