Over 100-million Americans are roasting in a heat dome this weekend.
The National Weather Service says the feels-like temperature could exceed 115 degrees across the Southeast, risking the lives of people without sufficient cooling.
They warn that it will be a “long duration” heat wave, with little to no overnight relief and high humidity levels.
Sizzling high temperatures are also forecast for parts of the Midwest, where forecasters are warning of high humidity caused by “corn sweat,” where water vapor released by corn crops releases moisture into the air.
