Analysis Finds Hoosier Electric Bills Up 17.5%

An analysis by the Citizens Action Coalition of Indiana’s five investor-owned utilities shows the average electric bill rose over 17 percent in the past year.

That is an average of 28 dollars a month more.

They used data from the Indiana Regulatory Commission to compare July 1st residential bills between 2024 and 2025.

The increase was nearly double the rate increase from 2023 to 2024.
