The United Way of Knox County is calling on individuals, businesses, schools, churches, and community groups to join forces for its annual Day of Caring, taking place Thursday, September 18th and Friday, September 19th.
The United Way says the two-day event is one of the county’s largest volunteer initiatives, pairing teams of volunteers with community-based projects and a county-wide food collection effort.
Projects include landscaping, painting, minor repairs, organization tasks, and more—all designed to directly benefit local nonprofit agencies and community spaces.
Volunteers can sign up individually or as part of a group. United Way matches volunteers with projects that best suit their interests, abilities, and availability.
