Man Facing Multiple Charges Following Police Pursuit in Sullivan

A man is facing numerous charges after fleeing a traffic stop in Sullivan Thursday and then crashing his motorcycle into a pond.

Sullivan Police say Clifford Curnett left the scene but was later apprehended in the area of Stewart Court.

Police found a backpack on the motorcycle containing a firearm and several illegal items.

Curnett is charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Resisting Law Enforcement, and several other Felony and Misdemeanor charges.
