At least a dozen rural hospitals in Indiana, including Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, are facing financial risks due to the passage of President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
Republican U.S. Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri admitted last week that “rural hospitals are going to be in bad shape,” and four other Democratic senators sent a letter to Trump saying 338 hospitals in the country will be impacted by the Medicaid cuts.
Other area Indiana hospitals on that list include Ascension St. Vincent in Brazil and Sullivan County Community Hospital.
