Gibson Co. Sheriff Bruce Vanoven to Seek Re-Election

Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven, a 24-year veteran of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, has officially announced his candidacy for re-election.

Vanoven will seek the Republican nomination for the office in the May 2026 Primary election.

During his previous campaign, Sheriff Vanoven ran on a platform of “building bridges between law enforcement and the citizens of Gibson County.”

Vanoven says that over the past three years, he has worked diligently to fulfill that promise.
