The Pike County Prosecutor’s Office is asking the public for assistance in a dog killing investigation.
A family’s pet Beagle, named Paige, was shot and killed near Hazleton.
An Indiana Conservation Officer has been investigating Paige’s killing since it was reported on May 7th.
Paige went missing from her family’s home on April 29th.
The family found her body on May 6th in a remote section of their property.
She had been killed by a shotgun blast to the head, apparently only a few days earlier.
The killing took place in the middle of wild turkey firearm season.
The killing of a Domestic Animal is a Level 6 Felony in the State of Indiana.
