Tipline Aids in Arrest of Wanted Sex Offender

A man wanted in Illinois was apprehended in Indiana thanks to a tipline.

On Friday, the Wabash County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office announced they were looking for 66-year-old James Catt, a sex offender wanted for failing to register.

Catt had been on the run for 3 1/2 years.

At the time, authorities said he was considered armed and dangerous.

In less than 48-hours, the Pike County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office had arrested Catt, thanks to the “Submit-a-Tip” feature on their website.
